16.5.2013: Tim Rocktäschel erhält für seine Arbeit über "Joint Extraction of Proteins and Bio-Molecular Events using Imperatively Defined Factor Graphs" einen Institutspreis für die beste Diplomarbeit 2012.
19.04. bis 08.05.2013: Kristoff Wittig, Schüler der neunten Klassen an der Anna Sehgers Gemeinschaftsschule Adlerhof absolviert ein 13-tägiges Praktikum bei uns am Lehrstuhl. Seine Arbeit und Erfahrungen dokumentiert er auf http://wbipraktikum.blogspot.de.
08.04.2013: We are happy to announce the next release of ChemSpot. This version comes with new components for tagging chemical formulae and resolving ambiguous chemical abbreviations. ChemSpot contributed to our 1st place in the DDI challenge 2013 Task 9.1.
01.04.2013. The WBI team ranked first in the "drug named entity recognition" task and second in the "drug-drug-interaction" task at this years DDI challenge, a workshop at SemEval 2013. Congratulations to Tim Rocktäschel, Philippe Thomas, Torsten Huber, Mariana Neves, and Michael Weidlich.
25.03.2013: The competition on Scalable String Similarity Search and Joins (S4) which we organized as EDBT workshop is finished; congratulations to the winning teams.
