The paper "Auto-generated language learning online courses using generative AI models like ChatGPT", written by Leo Sylvio Rüdian and Niels Pinkwart was awarded the best paper of the conference ("Best Paper") at the 21st Educational Technologies Conference (DELFI 2023).

November 2020

The article "Learning Analytics in Relation to Open Access to Research Data in Peru. An Interdisciplinary Comparison", written by Katarzyna Biernacka and Libio Huaroto, was chosen as one of the best papers at the III Conferencia Latinoamericana de Analíticas de Aprendizaje (LALA). The authors were invited to submit an extended version of the article to the special edition of IEEE RITA.

July 2020

The paper "Automatic Assessment of Student Homework and Personalized Recommendation", written by Xia Wang, Tom Gülenman, Niels Pinkwart, Claudia de Witt, Christina Gloerfeld und Silke Wrede, receives the Best Full Paper Award at the 20th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT).

April 2020

Katarzyna Biernacka is the winner of the RDA VP15 poster session. She received the most votes from the participants for her poster "The Missing Data - The Relationship Between Legal Requirements and Open Research Data".

September 2019

The bachelor thesis of Elias John with the topic Serious Game basierter Ansatz als Hilfe für Programmieranfänger wins the German Computer Science Association award for the best 2018 bachelor thesis in Germany in the field of educational technologies.

October 2017

Dr. Angella Musiimenta (Mbarara University of Science and Technology) wins the BMBF German-African Innovation Award for a joint project proposal with Prof. Niels Pinkwart. The overall goal of the "MatHealth" project is to improve maternal health using an enhanced mobile phone-based multimedia application among illiterate women in rural southwestern Uganda.

September 2017

The bachelor thesis of Laura Wartschinski with the topic A Conversational Agent for the Improvement of Human Reasoning Skills wins the German Computer Science Association award for the best 2016 bachelor thesis in Germany in the field of eLearning.
