Claudia Ruhland completed her studies in social and business communication. She specialized in designing technology-supported communication processes in education and research as part of her further education studies in adult education. She is currently involved in the IMPACT project, which aims to implement learning analytics tools ethically and make them available across the board. These tools, among other things, offer students personalized feedback on their learning outcomes to effectively support them in their learning.

In her dissertation at Humboldt-Universität Zu Berlin in the Department of Media Studies, she is researching "Creativity as a network effect." She investigates the interactions between digital educational media's creative potential and individual creative skills' development in heterogeneous learning settings.

Her research interests include:

  • User-centered design and dissemination of learning analytics tools
  • Development and performance of pedagogical agents in digital learning environments
  • Creativity and innovation as a network effect
