Patrick Witthaus completed his degree in computer science at Merseburg University of Applied Sciences in 2006. His thesis focused on a medical expert system with a separate, dynamically expandable knowledge base.

He earned his Master of Science in Computer Science from Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Wolfenbüttel in 2021. The subject of his master's thesis was "Content-structuring qualitative content analysis of specialist texts for the classification and systematization of learning technologies for the digital support of learning processes in heterogeneous user groups".

Since 2023, Patrick Witthaus has been pursuing his doctorate at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His doctoral thesis centers on the modeling of a digital application for screening mental disorders in students with learning problems.
